Standing With Courage Even When You Feel Weak
Just yesterday I wrote a super ecstatic post on Instagram. I had just returned from a glorious trip to Italy, and I was ready to get back to work and create so much content for my people. Life couldn't get to me!
That's funny right there. Can we just take a moment to laugh at that?
It got to me. Hard. It wasn't even 24 hours later that I was curled up in my bed sobbing and shaking. Ugly and uncomfortable to know that, right? Why can't she just pull it together?
Funny, but I was asking myself the same thing.
Why couldn't I pull it together?
What if everything I am doing is wrong?
Does anyone out there care?
Can I do this? It sure doesn't feel like it.
Right now, I am sitting in a coffee shop putting this whole post together. I've talked about depression before on a few of my platforms. That is truly a whole other topic though. What I want to talk about is WHY I'm sitting in this coffee shop instead of hiding from the world under a comforter in my dark room.
First, I chose to stop for the knowledge of one truth. I am pleading for you to understand this simple fact:
| The only time you really fail is when you give up. |
You are instantly #AbandoningAverage when you stand back up, dash those tears from your eyes, and tackle that hard thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Why? Because God called you to that thing! He gives you what you need to accomplish it, by first leaning on Him. You’ve got this because He’s got you. He know you--your desires, your fears, your shortcomings, your strengths, and your emotions. All of it and He still loves you and will hold you to complete His purpose.
With that truth, I pull myself up today and every day to complete His work. Those questions I asked myself earlier... The answer was I CAN'T, but HE CAN. That's why I stand and fight. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Abandon the average and take imperfect action today, friend.
