The History of the Sleeping Beauty Costume in the Disney Parks
Hi, friends! We have a new video up on the AB Adventures Youtube channel and it is the start of something that we are thinking needs to stick around—a history themed video on the Sleeping Beauty costume in the Disney parks. We have never done a video like this before now. Still, we wanted to cover the transformation of this costume from parades to meet and greets to shows because Aurora’s costume really has changed quite a bit over the years.
We won’t go into all the details here, because this really is chock full of all the details of years and years of costumes. We will tell you that it all culminates with the stunning costume created for the ending of the Magic Happens Parade at in Disneyland. So, wait for that… It’s amazing!
When we started doing research for this video, we worked endlessly to pull all the unique costumes together. We tried to stay away from presenting a similar costume that was just used in a different show. We wanted pieces that stood alone from the others.
Since then, we have happened to find more. We will keep this updated with notable costumes that remain separate in design from the other costumes designed for Aurora.

This one somewhat resembles the 50th anniversary celebration in Disneyland Paris, with a few tweaks. The dress here has more purple tones and also has a bit more traditional look.
